Fundraising events occur frequently at NHR and it is up to each member to raise a minimum amount of £200 per year. At present such events as the sponsored bed push or Christmas raffle are organised by teams of members at NHR. However, NHR is always looking for new ways to raise money and as a result new ideas and new initiatives are welcomed.

Our main sponsor of the bed push in the Experian Robin Hood Marathon (festival of running) was Unison. They are one of the leading public service Unions in the UK.  NHR are very grateful for there support. The bed was adorned with two Unison sponsorship signs which accompanied the bed around the full half marathon course completed in 3 relay teams.  Twenty tired, aching but satisfied NHR members completed the push and it is hoped the bed push will again raise over £2500 in total. Apart from running members can also get involved though collections around the course.
